ĀYU Council is taking a bold, firm stand for high quality, rigorous Āyurvedic education to advance the profession.
ĀYU Council has published the first set of Competency Guidelines for Professional Āyurvedic Education at the level of Svastha Āchārya. These guidelines have been developed for the study and practice of contemporary Āyurveda. They have been designed on the authentic framework of classical Āyurveda and include complementary healthcare systems as secondary aspects.
Apply as an Educational Provider
ĀYU Council is now accepting applications from schools and institutions to offer the Svastha Āchārya Certificate Program.
With the only redesigned curriculum for Professional Āyurvedic education, the Svastha Āchārya Certificate Program provides students and graduates with a distinct advantage in practice.
Our approach originates in the classical Āyurvedic Medical Compendia. These texts have guided the education and practice of Āyurveda for centuries in India and are still used as the main training tools for Āyurvedic Doctors. They are standard clinical resources for practice.
Based on this we developed three primary professional levels for independent and collaborative practice. This is the framework of the operating infrastructure in India and can be adapted to any location.
Our revised curriculum for these three levels is the first major update to professional Āyurveda in over 100 years. This provides an efficient, effective learning process for contemporary study and practice.
